Adventurer's Club - Dave Ellis & THE BMX BANDITS

Take 4 mates with a craving for adventure and masochistic tendencies.

Drop them deep in the wilderness, add ridiculous distances and sleep deprivation (oh, and did we mention the bad facial hair and screaming fluro 80s lycra?).
Shake and stir… and there you have yourself an Adventure Racing Team.

Join us at The Basecamp as we listen to Dave Ellis and his team mates from The BMX Bandits share their tales of mischief and adventure to become an Adventure Racing Team, and pretty darn good one at that!

What’s in Store…

  • An intro to everything you need to know to get into adventure racing- or take the next step from weekend warrior to multi day expedition racing

  • Photos and stories from 10 years of racing – including a couple of world championships and a recent 600km race in QLD.

  • Insights on the training and mentality it takes to to keep a team together when you’re lost in the wilderness, exhausted and running out of food, days from civilisation and have no idea what you are doing (our first expedition race!)

About Adventurers Club

The Adventurers Club. It’s not just swilling whisky and sitting in leather Chesterfields. It’s sharing experiences. Experiences of those kick arse amazing members who train at Joe’s and are getting out there and amongst it. We continue to foster a culture of sharing adventures, members being examplers of lives well lived and connecting our local communities by hosting our Adventurers Club since 2015.
