Gareth with his expedition partner Richard have just got back from Iceland.

They spent three weeks drawing a line from south to north, ski touring over glaciers, detouring around sub glacial volcanos, and pack rafting down ‘The River of the Trembling Spirit’.

They found the never-seen-before source of the river, got to swim with seals and were eternally chased down by malevolent weather. Wild, windy and wet? Yes.

The Iceland traverse is what contemporary exploration is all about. Come and hear the tales of this trip, how they overcame fear and obstacles to achieve their expedition goal.
