Do you ever feel as if your own training is getting stale?
Do you struggle for ideas and workouts for your clients?
Beinga self employed trainer do you often wish you had other PT’s to bounce ideas off?
Would you like to know how to easily cue and coach Olympic lifting techniques, basic gymnastics movements, build and structure great Met Cons and other workouts?
If you would like to be or consider yourself a truly PROFESSIONAL trainer who believes in the benefits of coaching read on..
“In addition to meeting my own fitness goals, each and every session at Joe’s Garage Gym delivers something new that I can take back into my own training. Whether it’s a queuing tip on a deadlift, a new way of stretching or a whole session plan, I am picking up new information all the time. The depth and breadth of knowledge on subjects from nutrition to Olympic lifting is fascinating and, to a fitness nut like me, I can’t get enough!”
—Mel Tully, Lecturer Australian College of Sport and Fitness, Personal Trainer, Revive Fitness & Rehab.
If you know, believe in and understand the benefits of coaching and personal training continuously by yourself is NOT an option! You WILL go stale, and if your training goes stale, so does the work outs you give your clients.
In the past, the only other option for on going development for Personal Trainers was using fellow personal trainers and mentors but this is a very expensive option.
Also, you may not want to train in your own gym where clients may see you being trained by one of your colleagues.
If your just training yourself, you know what it is like, we all all have flat days just like our clients….. that is why we believe in coaching.
Imagine if there was a way that you could train and learn at a fraction of the cost of what a Personal Training session costs.
Every personal trainer is their own billboard, what if there was a way that you could be a shining example, get really fit and also learn new content and technique every time you showed up for a workout.
What would it feel like to go back to your clients with tips on great technique and constructing great programs and workouts?
See how much easier it is to win potential new clients when you wow them with intense, perfectly executed sessions, that you know you have done yourself?
Even just to be amongst other local trainers who go through the same challenges as you every day, share ideas as well as sweat!
“I am fitter now than I have ever been. I also recently passed out of the Australian Institute of Fitness Cert iV course and was awarded class champion. So what do other coaches and trainers, just like you, think?
I am fitter now than I have ever been.I recently passed out of the Australian Institute of Fitness Cert IV course and was awarded class champion. I’d say the main difference between me and my peers was that I’d spent my last year immersed in Joe’s classes, Every workout I learnt something that would help me with my course and my chosen career. I felt, fitter, more confident and more competent than I had ever felt before. Emma Martin, New Personal Trainer and mother of two.
I joined Joe’s Garage Gym in March this year. In the short time I have been training with Joe and his team, I have not only improved my own fitness, I have learnt an enormous amount from a professional development perspective.
As a personal and group fitness trainer and a part time PT lecturer, my weekly schedule is packed and it’s challenging to find the time and motivation to achieve my own fitness goals. It’s so refreshing to be trained by expert trainers who hold me accountable to my goals and challenge me in each and every training session. The wide variety of training offered by Joe and his team means that I can work on cardio, strength and conditioning in one week, with each session being totally different but equally inspiring. When you’re inspired in your own training, that naturally flows through to the training you offer to your clients and makes you a better trainer as a result.
In addition to meeting my own fitness goals, each and every session at Joe’s Garage Gym delivers something new that I can take back into my own training. Whether it’s a queuing tip on a deadlift, a new way of stretching or a whole session plan, I am picking up new information all the time. Joe’s depth and breadth of knowledge on subjects from nutrition to olympic lifting is fascinating and, to a fitness nut like me, I can’t get enough! Mel Tully – Lecturer Australian College of Sport and Fitness, Personal Trainer, Revive Fitness & Rehab.
“I qualified as a PT a year ago and started training at Joe’s Garage Gym about three months after that – the training has been invaluable to me both personally and professionally.
The sessions at Joe’s Garage have ensured that I have kept my fitness, technique and appearance to a level that adds credibility to my work within the industry. They have become my ‘time off’ – I get to train without thinking about my programme; I just turn up and do what I’m told. It’s great to be able to switch off from Pt’ing and being a PT in that way. The need to book in for a session also means that I always set aside time for my own training rather than just fitting it in between clients when I can, which invariably results in the day running away with you and your own training not getting done.
Professionally, I have learnt loads beyond what Cert III and IV teaches you in terms of programming ideas, cueing tips and technique – especially with regard to the more complex lifting exercises. I probably pick up something new every week at Joe’s Garage which I can then take and adapt to suit my own approach and clients – whether it is a new exercise, a way of helping a client through something they are struggling with or the format of a session. Carly Steggles, Personal Trainer, Running Coach, owner Oz squad
In 2012 I made the decision to make a career change and study to be a Personal Trainer. I joined Joe’s garage for my own training in January and have been absolutely amazed by the results, personally, mentally and physically.
While studying, I quickly realised how much I had learnt from Joe and Si and how much it helped with my own understanding of technique, ‘proper’ exercises and the anatomy of the human body.
Joe and Si are great mentors and I am so lucky to have been able to have them guide me through my education as well as meet my own fitness personal goals.
Now that I am qualified as a Personal Trainer and also lucky enough to be working along side Joe and Si, I feel as though I couldn’t be surrounded by anyone better to help me grow as a Personal Trainer and to be gaining the knowledge I am just by being here at the garage.
Joe and Si are absolutely fantastic trainers and their knowledge is second to none. Danielle Bartolozzi , Personal Trainer
I have been a qualified personal trainer for three years, mentored throughout my studies from the man himself – Joe Bonington. Starting out as a PT can be daunting – you’re in a new and unfamiliar environment and are competing for business whether you are working in a gym or doing outdoor group training like myself. Training at JGG allows me to constantly develop my own skills and knowledge that I can apply to my own clients. Each day at the gym is not just a workout for me – it’s also the opportunity to fine tune my technique, reassess the way I program my own sessions (as well as it being a big pool for ideas!) as well as the opportunity to ask questions to some of the most knowledgeable people in the industry, which is invaluable.
I love being in such a positive environment at JGG where you know you will be pushed to your limits, constantly exceeding your own training expectations. Best of all, it’s great after training your own clients to do a session and switch off without having to program for yourself! Meg Bowman, Body2Boot Personal Training
Joe Bonington & his team at Joe’s garage have got great setup!
Joe’s Garage Gymnasium’s training systems, Instructor training knowledge, dedication & most importantly, coaching skills are right up there with the best.
Joe is such personable guy, that makes him a real pleasure to deal with. He knows how to make everyone feel comfortable, which is why the gym has a great community feel to it.
I found the training program at Joe’s Garage to be challenging & effective. I liked the strength sessions (results based) , also CF met con style sessions. I was impressed by the mobility & dynamic stretching as part of the warm ups. Which incidentally, I have incorporated into part of my clients warm ups.
If you are a novice, or a new PT or a trainer just looking to take your training / business to another level & you are thinking of how best to progress your training within the industry, I highly recommend you get amongst it, at Joe’s Garage gymnasium.
12 months of training with the team at Joe’s, will not only equip you with the right training knowledge to excel, but your new skills in coaching technique & communication will be of significant value to your business. Joe’s a master at it.
Joe is very generous in sharing his wealth of training knowledge & has certainly been a key factor in further developing my own training & fitness businesses. Adam Carter – Intune health and Intunehealthonline (national Distributor for Leberts Fitness Equalizers)
